Tiddly Inks challenge - Choose a technique

Goodmorning, today a new challenge starts on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog. This time our challenge is to pick a technique out of list of 3 techniques. The techniques are: Embossing, distressing or stitching. Well I think everyone should be able to pick a favorite technique. I have chosen for embossing and stitching.
I made a card with Loving pixie from Tiddly Inks. I have coloured the pixie with my pencils and for her eyes I used a black glaze pen. Around the image I coloured with blue chalk. I have cut the image out with the circle nestabilities. I have also cut a frame from red cardstock with the circle nestabilities. On the frame I have drawn faux stitching with a white gelpen. I used a red card. On a sheet of black paper I stamped a heart background with the stampset Teeny tiny backdrops from Lawn fawn. I stamped the hearts with versamark ink and then I embossed them with white embossingpowder. I wrapped a white ribbon around the black paper and then I adhered the paper on the card. Under and above the black paper I added more stitching with the white gelpen. The flowers are made with the retro flower punch. I curled the leaves with the end of a brush. In the centres of the flowers I adhered balck hotfix gems. Teh branches are punched out of green paper. The sentiment is stamped with the set Sophies sentiments from Lawn fawn.

  2. This is just so cute Larissa! I absolutely love your pencil work. I'm wondering though, the chalk you used around the image, did you need to set it afterwards? I am very close to finally buying some chalk specifically for that purpose, so am curious. :D
