As you like it 115 - Flowers or ribbon

As you like it challenge blog.

Goodmorning, today a new challenge starts on the As you like it challenge blog. This time we want you to pick what you prefer using on your card: Ribbon or flowers and you have to tell us why that is your favourite. Although I have a lot of flower dies and punches, I don't use them very often on my cards. At the moment I prefer using ribbon on my cards. My cards are really simple most of the times and I think a ribbon looks better than flowers, because they can make a card a bit busier.

For this challenge I made a card with a couple of images from the digital stampset Happy bears from Lili of the valley. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen. Then I have fussy cut the image. On a white card I made a background for the image with Tumbled glass and Broken china distress ink. Then I adhered the image with foamtape on the card. I stamped a sentiment from the set Tiny type from Clearly besotted on the card. I die-cut a couple of clouds from white cardstock with the Puffy clouds dies from Memory box and adhered those on the card. With a hole punch I made 2 holes in the front of the card and then I tied my white embroidery floss through it.

STAMP: Happy bears from Lili of the valley, Tiny type from Clearly besotted
COLORING MEDIUM: Polychromos pencils, distress inks
PAPER: White cs
INK: Versafine onyx black, Tumbled glass and Broken china distress ink
DIES: Puffy clouds dies from Memory box
ACCESSORIES: Black glaze pen, Clear Spectrum noir sparkle pen, white embroidery floss, hole punch
